2019 TSSRM Youth Range Workshop

The Texas Section Society for Range Management will be holding it’s 65th Youth Range Workshop from June 23-28, 2019, at the Texas Tech University Campus in Junction, TX.  It is the nation’s longest running natural resources workshop for youth.  This workshop is a very worthwhile event for youth interested in learning about rangeland management and includes a wide variety of educational and recreational activities.  The workshop is open to youth 14-18 years old who have completed the 8th grade but not graduated from high school.

Benefit Shoot for Deputy CJ Lehman

The Fayette County Gun Club is hosting a benefit shoot on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 9am.  Registration starts at 8am.  Early registration is due by April 26, 2019.  The benefit is being sponsored by both the Fayette County Gun Club and Fayette County 4H Shooting Sports.  Please see FLYER for additional information.

Bee County 4-H Ag Product ID & Cupcake Wars Contest

2019 National 4-H Congress

The National 4-H Congress is the flagship event of the National 4-H program held annually at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. The 2019 National 4-H Congress will be held November 29-December 3, 2019, with travel on November 28th.  The application process is open from April 1st to midnight on April 24th .  The applications are on 4-H CONNECT .  There is no fee to apply . Youth applicants MUST be in grades 9 – 12 at the time of the event.  Selected applicants will be notified on April 30th.  Interviews will be conducted during Texas 4-H Roundup on June 11th in College Station.

Once the delegation is selected, the participation fee is $1,600 which cover:

The following items are included in the registration fee:

  • Congress Registration (includes most meals)
  • Lodging
  • Airline Ticket
  • States Lunch
  • Shirt
  • State Photograph
  • Trading Pins
  • Evening refreshments/snacks
  • Ground transportation in Atlanta
  • Educational Tour

Not included in the cost:

  • Transportation to and from the airport the delegation will be leaving from.
  • Spending money for souvenirs.
  • Meals during travel to and from Atlanta, GA.

Goliad County 4-H Small-Bore Rifle Invitational Match

The Goliad County 4-H Small-Bore Rifle Invitational Match will be held April 5th – 6th, 2019 at the Victoria County 4-H Activity Center Rifle Range.  The cost is $10 per competitor, payable upon contest arrival.
